Prerequisites: Participants need to have a basic understanding of using Google Sheets and some idea about how to use Google Classroom. They also need to be able to use their Chromebooks.
Description: We will be spending time learning how to use Chromebooks in a Math setting. We will explore using Sheets as a means to set up worksheets, tasks, and RSG for Math 1. We will also explore using Google Forms for creating Exit tickets and assessments.
Objectives: Create a document in Sheets for use in Math 1, assign that sheet in Google Classroom, and do the same with a Google Form.
Prerequisites: This will cover the basics features and will delve into more advanced features incorporating GAfE.
Description: This session will address Google Apps for Education (GAFE) and how to incorporate them into lessons. This session will mainly focus on google docs, slides, sheets, and drawing to create interactive lessons that are way more then just type in the answer to questions lessons.
Objectives: Teachers will learn what are google apps for education Teachers will learn how to turn a lesson into a digital format using GAFE Teachers will incorporate multiple google apps together to create a hyperdoc.
Prerequisite: Because this session involves working with Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Slides, it is best of participants have a basic foundation in working with these apps. No pre-knowledge of Google Sheet formulas is required.
Description: This session will introduce a research project that allows students to use Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Slides to participate in data collection, organization, and presentation. The example project shown will be an electronic reading log that tracks students' reading lives, including academic, personal, and service reading, and then allows them to share their findings in an academic presentation. The project idea, however, can be adapted to other subjects as content teachers see fit and generally promotes students' ownership of their learning and comfort with technology.
Objectives: Participants will... - understand the ways Google can facilitate students' participation in research. - see how various Google apps can be used together harmoniously and receive copies of all presented materials, including copies of Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. - experiment with their own Google Form, Google Sheet, and Google Slide so that their own students can do data collection and presentation. - be offered free time for more advanced users of Google and step-by-step whole-class instructions for intermediate users.
Prerequisite: Minimal experience with Chromebooks.
Description: This session is to provide teacher tips and tricks to help them be more comfortable with the technology in the classroom. I will cover how to utilize Google Classroom,Google Forms, and Google Cast for Education. I will also show the teachers other tools to implement in the classroom such as Quizlet and Draftback
Objectives: Teachers will be able to create assignments to Google Classroom with all of the necessary material regardless of its format. Teachers will be able to understand how Google Cast works and its implications in the classroom. Teachers will understand how Draftback can assist them in determining the authenticity of student work.

Prerequisite: Teachers need a basic understanding of how to use their smartphones to download apps and basic concepts of filmmaking.
Description: Teachers will learn how to have students use multiple video apps on Chromebooks and smart phones that will assess multiple standards. Learning will be hands on; teachers will make their own videos to learn the apps so they in turn can teach their students how to use it. Teachers will also be shown how to upload it and 'get it off their phones' to share with the class. Teachers will also develop the video assignment lesson as a way to assess multiple standards.
Objectives: Participants will understand the basics of integrating video as an assessment tool. As an example, teachers will learn about Screencastify, how to develop tools to assist students on how to use it, and how to prepare students to make presentations.
Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of being able to navigate through a computer is needed, how to log into accounts, save, etc.
Description: Learn how to utilize Google Classroom, YouTube, Padlet, and Google Forms to flip your classroom. Your lessons will demonstrate equity between all learners and your lessons will be student centered. Your role in the classroom becomes an expert facilitator and the time you spend with your students is quality.

Prerequisites: Teachers should have a basic understanding of being able to open and copy a google doc. More advanced features will be available for those who have higher level of understanding for google docs.
Description: Dread Cornell Note taking? Think of it as a boring way to waste class time? Not anymore! During this session we will be using Google Docs to convert standard cornell notes to a digital format that will be interactive to increase student motivation. This session will walk through how to revise cornell notes in google docs using both the editing mode as well as the more advanced suggestion mode. This will include how to share notes between students and have them gain experience in revising someone elses notes. Anyone of any experience level can learn and extend upon this activity!
Objectives: Teacher will understand the revision process of cornell notes and why it is important for student information retention. Teacher will be able to go through the revision process for cornell notes on google docs using editing mode. Teachers will be able to share notes and revise another students notes using suggestion mode.
Prerequisite: This lesson assumes basic aptitude in typing and technology.
Description: This fast-moving presentation (very little time for interactivity) will demonstrate some of the versatility of Google as a student research tool. Help students perform various targeted Google searches, advanced Google Image searches, Google Scholar searches, specific site inquiries, analysis of the credibility of sources, and citation of sources.
Objectives: Walk away with a list of Google tools and search techniques that can aid students in research.

Participants will be able to search for free lessons and create their own. Objectives: Participants will be able to create a Nearpod account and search for lessons that have already been created. Feel swamped by unimportant emails? Wish you could prioritize and organize your email inbox? Ever wonder how people send emails to all staff? Does your inbox make you feel overwhelmed? Then this session is for you. Administrators, teachers, and classified members all welcome!
Objectives: By the end of the session, participants will have learned how to organize their email inbox into folders, how to archive, and how to filter emails. Participants will also learn how to maximize their contacts to send out group emails without having to recall individuals email addresses each time.
Prerequisites: Some familiarity with digital tools will facilitate the design process for our ePortfolios, and help us develop protocols and anticipate logistical issues.

Prerequisite: No previous video editing experience required. Description: Learn how to use WeVideo (the free version) so you can teach students how to produce their own short videos for projects & presentations.
